Peterson Lim wins in Carmona

CEBU, Philippines - For the love of Cebu and country noted karter Peterson Lim pulled away a thrilling victory under the SQ 125 senior division of the 2011 Asian Karting Open Championship (AKOC)-round 2 at the Carmona Racing Circuit in Cavite.

Lim saved the day for Cebu with the championship trophy on his hand after a 12-lap tough battle against 19 other karters including fellow Pinoys and from other parts of Asia.

Lim had to lean on his experience and track knowledge to take the race lead and fend off the repeated challenges of the other contenders.

After the said action, Lim is taking no rest as he aims to get back the lead for the Karter of the Year race under the 2011 Kartzone Karting Series here.

The KKS action stages its fifth leg on August 13 in a still undisclosed venue. The rest of the legs for this year’s series might be staged in different areas here.

Aside from the KOY race, Lim also hopes to pad on to his lead under the master’s division to prevent complications in the overall standings. (FREEMAN)
