CEBU, Philippines - Nikki Kimberly Go of Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu powered her team to a second place finish in the 15th VISSA Inter-School swimming competition dubbed as "2011 Governor’s Cup the other day at the Carlos P. Garcia Sports Complex in Tagbilaran City.
Go’s overall performance also paved her way to becoming the best swimmer under the girls 15-above category.
Maria Montessori International School, also from Cebu, wound up third overall.
MMIS saw four of its bets emerging as the most outstanding athletes in their respectively classes namely Pacholo Magale in the boys 15-above, Miles Chi in the boys 13-14, Maisey Chi in the girls 11-12 and Luke Balansag in the boys 7-8.
Host University of Bohol bagged the overall championship courtesy of Zacky Lacea and Maureen Morales in the 6-under, Alvan Joshua Potot and Gwyneth Ticong in the 7-under, Rian Marco Tirol in the boys 9-10 and Dyza Bianca Saco in the girls 13-14.
The Surigao City Swim Team also got several most outstanding swimmer awards courtesy of John Sitoy in the boys 6-under and Kent Franzen Cagape and Czaree Cassidy Pospia in the 9-10 age classification. (FREEMAN)
