CEBU, Philippines - Talisay City intensifies its selection process on two ballgames for the Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVIRAA) Meet with the staging of the "Talisay Basketball and Volleyball Inter-Secondary Schools Competition" from August 20 to September 18 in two separate venues.
The event, initiated by the Talisay City Sports Commission along with Department of Education-Talisay City division, features a total of 26 secondary public and private schools combined.
A total of 21 schools will take part in basketball, while volleyball draws 20 teams in the boys and 21 in the girls class.
The competing teams have been divided into four brackets with Tabunok NHS, Talisay City NHS, Maghaway NHS, Candulawan NHS, Candulawan NHS, St. Thomas Aquinas Montessori, and Tapul NHS under bracket A.
Bracket B has St. Scholastica's Academy, Manipis NHS, Talisay City Science HS, Mohon NHS, Thrice Admirable Montessori, San Isidro NHS, while bracket C has Lagtang NHS, Jaclupan NHS, Tanke NHS, Lawaan NHS, and Asian College of Technology.
Bracket D is composed of Sisters of Mary School, San Roque NHS, Lawaan III NHS, Cansojong NHS, Pooc NHS, Cebu Sacred Heart School, St. Anthony's Learning Center, East Visayan Academy, and Bulacao NHS. (FREEMAN)
