Cebu's Adlawan competes in Indonesia motocross today

CEBU, Philippines - Cebu's top expert rider Jon-Jon Adlawan will try to improve his rankings in the 2011 FIM Asian Motocross/Supercross Championships when round 2 unfolds today in Surabaya, Indonesia.

During the first round held in Punta Princesa, Palawan, Adlawan emerged as the best placed Filipino participant at fifth overall that earned him 33 points, just 17 points away from round one top finisher Arnon Teplib of Thailand.

The country’s No.1 rider Kenneth San Andres only placed ninth out of 19 expert riders.

This is Adlawan's second trip in Indonesia, but his first time to race under the expert division.

The first time he competed there was when he was still a junior rider wherein he went home with a bronze medal.

With such a memorable past in Indonesia and the training he had in Denmark last month, the Cebuano daredevil is expected to pull another sterling performance. (FREEMAN)
