Singson, Lopez rule running events

CEBU, Philippines - Adonis Singson and Mendel Lopez competed in separate events yesterday and with them not going up against each other, their paths to glory became smoother. This as Singson ruled the Bodytone-organized Run For Life, while Lopez lorded it over in the Run for Green Life.

Singson claimed the men’s 10K title with the time of 29 minutes and 31 seconds in the Run for Life, which started and ended at the Bodytone along Gorordo Avenue, this city.

Sherwin Managuil trailed Singson with a 30:30 clocking, 10 seconds ahead of Reiz Enriquez. Alverg Busa placed fourth with a time of 30:43 followed by Reprinel Banzon in 31:34.

In the distaff side, Madelyn Carter took the spot with the best time of 37:07. Jean Andrin wound up second in 37:05 followed by Allyza Lagahit (39.23), Rose Baylon (40:04) and Merlita Dunkin (41:34).
