CEBU, Philippines - Domingo Javier, Jr. led the winners in the 1st Security Practitioners Shootfest held last February 27 at the NS Outdoor Firing Range in barangay Tawason, Mandaue City.
The competition was organized by the Philippine Society for Industrial Security (PSIS)-7 headed by lawyer Michelle Mendez-Palmares with Retired Chief Insp. Raul Rendon as tournament chairman and Glenn Java as match director.
Javier, who was the lone expert shooter in the field, ran away with the title in the Custom Defensive Pistol (CDP) division.
The title for the Marksman class went to Jose Deogracias Clarin followed by Leonardo ‘Ding’ Abay-abay on second and Albert ‘Jun’ Liao on third.
Clark Jueco topped the unclassified group for the CDP with Brian Luza and Bruce Ragas on second and third respectively.
The Marksman title for the Enhance Service Pistol (ESP) division went to Arnold Famor while second place went to Richard Tan and Jacinto Rentuza was third.
Arestil Arnold Famor topped the Sharpshooter class for the ESP division.
For the unclassified ESP shooters, Mark Tan emerged as winner followed by Lou Amador Relampagos on second and Wilfredo Pulvera on third.
C. Rico topped the Marksman class for the Stock Service Pistol (SSP) division followed by Roberto Pepito on second and Jose Antonio Garcia on third.
Oliver Glodove won the title for the Sharpshooter category followed by Nelson Esguerra on second and Ireneo Rosero III aptly on third place.
Ismael ‘Ogong’ Trinidad, Jr. topped the unclassified shooters for the SSP division while second place went to Jury Callora and third to Broderick Nabua.
The newly-elected officers of PSIS-7 also took their oath of office on that day.
