CEBU, Philippines - A brand new Hyundai Tucson will be at stake for a hole-in-one in the Cebu Country Club (CCC) Rotary Friendship Golf Tournament this Saturday at the CCC fairways.
The tournament is of good cause as the proceeds will go to the scholarship program of community scouts graduate, who will be enjoying a three-year full scholarship in college at the Center for Industrial Technology Enterprise (CITE).
“This tournament is not solely for the enjoyment or entertainment of our members and guests but our proceeds will go to our scholarship program for the qualified high school graduates of the community scouts. So we’re doing this tournament for a cause,” said Rotary Club president Jose Soberano III during a press conference yesterday at the CCC function hall.
Soberano said they are expecting more than 150 participants.
The event features six categories: A, B, C, D, seniors and guests.
It is open to all rotarians and members and guests of CCC. Registration fee is pegged at P1,500 for CCC members and P2,000 for non-members.

Players must indicate if they will compete in the regular or seniors division. Players who fail to do so will automatically be assigned to their regular division.
Dinner and awards ceremony will follow right after the game at Capiz Ballroom at 7:00 pm. The friendly activity is one of the highlights of the rotary week celebration of District 3860.
