CEBU, Philippines - In line with the 7th National Dental Health Month, the Philippine Dental Association (PDA)-Cebu Chapter will hold a fund-raising fun run billed as 'Run With a Smile' on February 13 starting and ending at the Terraces grounds of Ayala Center Cebu.
Now on its second year, proceeds of the event will help support the various projects of PDA-Cebu this year such as free dental services, free dental missions in areas inaccessible to dental care, dental health education and 'Handog Toothbrush' programs, free dental examination and treatment for various public school children.
The race features the 12K, 6K and 3K categories.
The champion in both men's and women's 12K open class will pocket P5,000, while the second and third will take home P3,000 and P2,000, respectively.
The first three finishers in the 6K will get P3,000, P2,000 and P1,000, while the top three in the 3K Fun Run will receive medals.
Special prizes will be given to the first placer in the 12K couples category and for the participant with the best running smile.
Entry fee is pegged at P300 inclusive of a singlet, race bib, map and snacks after the race. Participants may claim their race kits at the Ayala Active Zone from February 9 to 10.
Registration formally starts today at the Runnr-Ayala Mall and at the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC)-7 office located inside the Cebu City Sports Center. - THE FREEMAN
