Cebu's shooters pay tribute to Jingjing O

CEBU, Philippines - Renato Dugan, Keith Andaya, David Señor, and Renante Cabasag lead the winners in the RVO (Rogelio V. Osmeña) Memoricla Cup 2010 held over the weekend at the Cebu Pistol and Rifle Association (CPRA) Range in Lapu-Lapu City.

Dugan won the division title for the Custom Defensive Pistol class. The expert title for the CDP category went to Nogie Biagan.

Dugan won the sharpshooters category with Don Dejaresco as runner-up. In the marksman level, Gino Ramil won the title with Rey Vidal and Pepe Roxas taking the first and second runner-up honors, respectively.

Andaya was the division champion for the Enhanced Service Pistol (ESP) category. He was also champion of the sharpshooter level with Albert Lim as runner-up.

The marksman category for the ESP class was ruled by Manolo Alcantara followed by Michael Husain and Roel Diagon on second and third respectively.

In the Stock Service Pistol (SSP) category, Señor bagged the division title as well as the expert class crown.

The sharpshooter level of the SSP category was topped by Francis Dominic with Henry Chu finishing second and Rey Tangapa was third.

The marksman level title for the SSP class went to Nelson Esguerra with Kevin Lim finishing second and Lowell Belarmino taking third place honors.

Renante Cabasag won the division and master level titles in the Stock Service Revolver category.

The CDP title for the Safety Officers went to Junivan Villanueva with Jose Clarin as runner-up.

Domingo Javier won the ESP title for the SO category with Richard Tan as runner-up.

Rolando Tocle topped the SSP class for SOs with Rico Cabatingan as runner-up while Ritchie Aballe won the SSR title.

Kevin Lim was also acclaimed as the Junior champion while Tessie Vidal topped the ladies category and Albert ‘Bing’ Lim, the seniors’ category.

The top three for the international category went to Chi Fai Chan, Chi Knong Chan, and Eddie Ho respectively.

For the lawmen category, Renato Dugan, Junivan Villanueva and Lyndon Pace took the top three honors for the CDP class.

The top two for ESP were Keith Andaya and Cris Panes.

Señor topped the SSP class with Rolando Tocle and Rico Cabatingan at second and third respectively.

Renante Cabasag topped the SSR class with Pablo Mazo and Benjun Herbias at second and third place respectively.

In IDPA, members are classified using a course that defined by the organization. Those who do not have any qualification, were put under the unclassified category. 

The top for the CDP among the unclassified was Paul Bryant Yu while Alaister Cortes topped the ESP category. The best for the SSP class was Chi Fai Chow and Pablo Mazo was best for the SSR category.

In the rifle event, Jay Adonis Uy topped the open class with Tyronne Mercader finishing second and Allan Sacres was third.

The standard class was ruled by Crisaleo ‘Tintoy’ Tolentino with Vincent Tiu taking second and Glenn Facturan was third.

The tournament was held in memory of Jingjing Osmeña, who steered the CPRA to various heights in the world of shooting. – THE FREEMAN
