CEBU, Philippines - The Japan Karate Association (JKA)-Cebu Chapter through its chief instructor Vic A. Luna held a promotion examinations the other day and will conduct a separate test today to members qualified to be promoted to black belt and other ranks.
Among those who took the exams at the City Sports Club-Cebu were JKA disciples from Body Tone, UC Main, UC-LM, UC Banilad, Lapu-Lapu, Liloan Consolacion and Mandaue.
Senior JKA officials will conduct the exams in three categories namely the kihon, kata and kumite.
The public is enjoined to witness the Japanese way of examining the black-belters as it is very interesting to see.
The JKA exams is made possible through the all-out support of JKA secretary-general Antonio Deluvio and corporate secretary Atty. Nilo P. Balorio, who is also a member of the JKA Board of Trustees. (THE FREEMAN)
