CEBU, Philippines – Romance and success filled the air in the final leg of the 2010 DSCPI National Dancesport Championships at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City as Dancesport-Team Cebu City did not just shine out brightly with 16 golds but also its top bet Charlea Laga-ras, got a gold in the amateur latin class plus a diamond on her ring finger.
Cebu's pride Lagaras and her trusted dance partner Ronnie Steve Vergara, thus, completed a grandslam feat for sweeping the golds in the three-part competition.
But the drama did not end there.
After the competition, Vergara walked into the center of the dancefloor, thanked his supporters, and then called Charlea to be with him not only to relish their triumph but also to propose to her in a very touching moment that literally melted the hearts of every-one who witnessed the affair.
Tears, cheers and happiness prevailed as a teary-eyed Lagaras said yes.
