Mandaue pugs set to see action today

CEBU, Philippines - Mandaue City will field seven bets in today’s edition of the bi-monthly Summit Natural Drinking Water Fight Night Amateur Series at the Gaisano Country Mall carpark.

This serves as a tune up for the Mandaue bets, who are eyeing the overall title in the forthcoming ABAP Visayas Championships.

The Mandaue bets seeing action tonight are Kevin Jake Cataraja (46 kgs) versus Mabolo’s Christian Bacolod, Danlou Codilla (48 kgs) and Reoxyl Tabogon (48kgs) versus Florencio Urot’s Reyboy Pepito and Bais’ Richard Barrios respectively; Michael Romarate (52 kgs) against Philippine-Australia’s Jerome Baja, Christian Apawan (56 kgs) and Mark Bernaldez (60 kgs) opposite Ryan Cagatulla and Rodel Wenceslao of PABC and Melvin Besinga versus Rhyan Canillas of Toledo City.

The rest of the bouts today are that between Banilad’s 36 kgs. bet Joerich Ricarte against Cabancalan’s Polid Banal, Lapu-Lapu’s 46 kgs. entry Elecio Taruc up against Mabolo’s Reymund Namucatcat, 48 kgs. Cherwellan Cantel of Maguikay versus Consolacion’s Richie Montealto and University of the Visayas’ Rie Munez tackling Jefferson Co of PABC in the 49 kgs. class and his teammate Robert Etorma set to face Australia’s Denny Galaskin in the 66 kilograms division.
