CEBU, Philippines – Cebuano mountainbikers are out for another tough battle through the 1st Talisay City Vice Mayor Allan Bucao Mountainbike Challenge 2010 on October 2 to 3.
The two-day action will begin with the dreaded downhill event in Ilang-ilang, Lagtang on October 2, while the finale is a cross-country competition starting at the Tali-say City Hall grounds.
The downhill race features three classes - pro, intermediate and beginners.
It will be a very challenging route for the riders as they will be dealing with the rugged terrains beside the Metro Cebu Water District (MCWD) reservoir.
Cross-country riders, for their part, will be divided into four categories - open, junior-beginners, veterans and executives. In the cross-country, the participants will be dealing with a circuit-type of action.
Cash prizes and medals will be given away to the top performers of the event sponsored by Perfect Clean General Services, Kishanta, Gleymark Construction, Juscar Taxi, The Freeman, Wellson Enterprises and OZ Racing.
Registration fee is pegged at P200. (FREEMAN)
