CEBU, Philippines - Over 200 marksmen from different shooting clubs in the country are expected to participate in the 3rd Customs District Collector’s Shootfest on June 19-20 at the Cebu Pistol and Rifle Association (CPRA) shooting range in Brgy. Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City.
The event features four divisions:open, revolver, production and standard, which are all divided into two classes, the high capacity and single stack.
Among the early registrants include the Kamagong Gun Club, Casey Gun Club, Aqua Gun Club, NS Gun Club, Philippine National Police (PNP), Customs Employees Brokers Union (C.E.B.U), Bureau of Customs (BoC) Davao, BoC Manila, Aviation Security Group, CPRA Shooters, Cebu Customs United Personeros Association and some members of the media.
Trophies will be given away to the top three winners, while some freebies will ba raffled off during the awarding ceremonies.
Visayas International Defensive Pistol Association executive director Jerome Lim, District Collector Ronnie Silvestre, Port of Cebu (BoC) and CPRA head Frank Horfilla were among those who graced the event’s launching the other day.
Customs police and shootfest coordinator Rico Monggaya said the said tournament will be a fund-raiser for the establishment of Plaza Aduana at Pier 6.
Registration fee is pegged at P600 for civilians and customs shooters and P400 for members of the PNP and junior shooters. (THE FREEMAN)
