Sugbo Brokers rout Red in SFAA hoop

CEBU, Philippines - The Sugbo Customs Brokerage of coach Ben Bongon demolished the Red squad, 96-79, to earn a share of lead in the Still Fighting Athletics Association (SFAA) 2010 basketball tournament at the Cebu Eastern College (CEC) covered court.

In the main match, Scarborough stunned the previously undefeated Dark Greem, 72-68.

Arnold Fernandez chalked up 20 points for Sugbo Brokerage, which joined Dark Green on top of the leaderboard with similar 5-1 win-loss records.

Sugbo Brokers went off to a blazing start and never look back after mounting a comfortable 19-point advantage at halftime, 50-31.

Chris Dabalos paced Red with 30 points.

In the other games, TNT led by skipper Tony Piloton defeated the winless ZAON, 72-65, to improve its win-loss record to 4-2, while SWAN-RTW scored a 63-45 rout of Team Yellow. Also, the undermanned Warriors held off Black 90-81.

Both SWAN and the Warriors are toting 2-4 slates.
