CEBU, Philippines - Philip Khan “Lik-Lik” Lim emerged as the brightest driver as Team No Care Racing (NCR) topped the stock and automatic categories of the fourth leg of the Philippine Autocross Championship Series over the weekend at the Parkmall racing circuit.
Lim, on board his favorite Honda Jazz, captured three championship trophies through the Novice Stock A, Novice Stock C and the Automatic class.
Lim edged out his teammates Dennis Corro and Alan “Big Al” G. Choachuy for the Novice Stock A crown. Corro, who placed third in Novice Stock C, and Choachuy were both driving the ever reliable Chery QQ car, one of their major sponsors.
Lim completed a treble by lording it over in the automatic category. Choachuy, parading his Mitsubishi Eclipse, took the second place honors while Bobby Pangilian powered his Honda Ek to a third place finish.
Pangilinan also ended up second in the Sports Car category.
The vaunted DGL Racing Team dominated the modified and open category, but Team NCR managed to snatch three trophies with Corro winding up third in the Novice Modified A and Jong King landing second in the Open A. King added feathers on his cap by clinching the top spot in Open C bracket courtesy of his high-octane Subaru.
Corro and King were both driving the Chery QQ with only a Stock engine while the others ran with a full race modification.
Team NCR, which is sponsored by Dewfoam, Durabend Pipes, Chery Philippines, Total Lubricants, PTT, ALDO Servitech Center and Sunsport, romped off a dozen trophies overall.
The top drivers of day honors, on the other hand, went to the decorated champion David G. Lim Sr. of DGL Racing Team followed by Atty. Jess Garcia of Kartzone and Mato Tan also of Team DGL.
