Tapnio's team bags crown in Corn Tee

CEBU, Philippines - The team led by Lucio Tapnio ran away with the overall title of the 12th Corn Tee, which was played at the Club Filipino Incorporada de Cebu course in Danao City last week.

The team of Tapnio, which also had Roger Lo, Andrew Si and Gabriel Yap, Jr. fired a total of 345 points in the 36-hole event using the Modified Stableford Scoring System to win the top plum.

The teams were composed of one club member and three guests. Due to the limited number of participants, some members had two teams.

In Division B, the title went to the team of Raymond Garcia with 336 points. Garcia was with Jun Mendoza, Rey Dira and Nonoy Tirol.

Runner-up honors went to the internationally-flavored team of Kim Jae Eun with 334 points. The other members were Ricky Brown, Alex Garcia and Kawakami Masahisa.
