CEBU, Philippines – Cebuano Jomar Jumapao added feathers on his cap after bagging the champion’s trophy in the 38th Philippine International Open at Robinson's Place in Malate, Manila yesterday.
Jumapao of BTA-Prima toppled a total of 2,257 pins to snatch the masters crown in the boys division.
Jumapao, who averaged 225.7 pins in the 10-game finals, beat Singapore ’s Jaris Goh, while another Pinoy under TBAM-Prima Jayson Tubid landed third with 2,065 pins.
Just last month, Jumapao won a gold and a bronze in the Asian Schools Championships in Hong Kong.
On the other hand, another Cebu bet in Kim Lao settled for bronze behind teammate Mades Arles in the girls bracket.
