Manoc-Manoc, 3'M rule Growee Beach Athletics

BORACAY ISLAND, Philippines  – Team Manoc-manoc and 3’M posted impressive victories in the beach athletics event of the 1st Growee Pinoy Beach Games yesterday at the Hotel Isla in Boracay Island .

Team Manoc-manoc ended the beach athletics with eight golds while 3’M bagged seven golds.

Salsona siblings, Ralph Lorence and Fhuvy Kieths of Team Manoc-manoc snatched two golds each. Ralph reigned supreme in the 10-under boys 50-meter with 8.69 seconds and 4x100 m relay with 14.96 sec along with Diosdado Padilla, Angelo Gelito and Erwin Salibio.

Fhuvy, on the other hand, won the 10-under girls 50m (9.91 sec) and spearheaded the 4x25 m relay (15.76 sec) with Janine Gelito, Jobelie Sastre and Kyza Galan.

The other four golds came from Janine Gelito in the 10-under girls 100m event (14.01 sec) and another gold in the 12-under girls 4x25m (14.28 sec) with Rey Ann, Jessel Elisan, Jennelyn Robles and Jobie Sastre.

In the boys 100meter event, Mark Jester Casinero won the gold in the 12-under (12.18) and Diosdado Padilla for the 10-under (13.24).

On the other hand, Team 3M’s most number of golds came from the 50-meter event as they swept the 12-under and 14-under boys and girls categories.

Philip John Dalisay triumphed in the 14-under with eight seconds and led the 4x100-meter relay’s victory along with John Honer Bandiola, Daniel Gelito and Jeric Villanueva clocking 13.10 seconds.

Christian Ostan dominated the 12-under boys with 9.21 seconds and headed the 12-under 4x100 meter relay together with Jasper Bendulo, John Rey Fernando and Jeremiah Millares.

In the distaff side, 3M’s Liza Sacapano topped the 14-under girls 50m event with 9.44 sec clocking and another gold in the 4x25m relay with Janine Tapang, Flora Mae Labanero and Olive Absalon. Jessa Razon also shared another gold in the 12-under 50m event with 8.17 seconds. – THE FREEMAN
