5th Leg Of Ms Motosuit Moto-X Abellar, Adlawan stamp classes

CEBU, Philippines – Venil Abellar and Jon-Jon Adlawan banner the list of top performers in the fifth leg of the Castrol-backed 3rd MS Motosuit Motocross Series billed as the “Hon. Mayor Ricky Ramirez Motocross Challenge” over the weekend in Medellin, Cebu.

Abellar outclassed Adlawan to rule the expert open, while Clark Wagas placed third. It was a double championship for Abellar as he also topped the intermediate open followed by Paolo Inoc and Wagas.

Adlawan, an image model of MS Motosuit, still has something to brag about as he dominated the novice open production, edging out Donkey Sanchez and Seigfred Ornopia of Keiz BJ Racing Team, who settled for second and third, respectively.

Ornopia and Sanchez, however, managed to catch part of the spotlight by coming up with twin titles in other categories.

Ornopia, younger brother of event organizer and MS Motosuit main man Lou Ornopia, emerged the fastest rider in the beginners open after outlasting Sanchez and Aloy Igoy. He followed it up with a first place honors in the executive A that saw Gener Sicad and Igot winding up second and third.

Sanchez, for his part, lorded it over in the open and local enduro class. Boni Bustillo and Banji Monilar

finished second and third in the open enduro, while Bustillo and JC Obligado trailed Sanchez in the local enduro race.

Sicad though did not go home empty-handed as he reigned supreme in executive B followed by Igot and Adonis Famadora.

The top three finishers in the executive C were Titing Sicad, Renante Tigue, and Bong Baluyos.

Living up to the “like father, like son” adage, Seigfred’s son Brylle Ornopia topped the mini/pewee division after beating BJ Pepito and Vinz Batulan, while Ken Ornopia stamped his class in the pewee event by fending off Vinz Kenneth and Keizer Ornopia. — EBV (THE FREEMAN)
