PJ Cup Inter-Barangay caging kicks off

CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu 3rd District Congressman Pablo John "PJ" Garcia Cup Inter-Barangay Captains Basketball Tournament formally kicked off last Saturday in Brgy. Cabitoonan covered court in Toledo City.

All the barangay captains comprising the towns of Aloguinsan, Asturias, Balamban, Barili, Pinamungajan and Tuburan and Toledo converged for the affair aimed at fostering fellowship, team building, camaraderie, sportsmanship and physical fitness amongst them.

Among the town officials present during the elaborate opening ceremony were Aloguinsan vice mayor Augustus Caesar "Chonse" Moreno, Asturias vice mayor Joel Dumdum, Balamban Mayor Alex Binghay, Barili Mayor Teresito "Undo" Mariñas, Pinamungajan Mayor Geraldine Yapha and councilor Jeffrey Yapha, Toledo City vice mayor Rudy Espinosa and Tuburan Mayor Boyet Suizo.

The champion in the 1st PJ Cup will receive P100,000, while the second and third will pocket P70,000 and P50,000, respectively. The fourth placer will get a consolation prize of P30, 000. - GGM (THE FREEMAN)
