CEBU, Philippines - The Conor Express Freight Forwarder of team owners Olive Paragus and Elmer Hamis scored another lopsided victory at the expense of Motofix, 94-61, in the juniors division of the Mambaling Basketball Association (MBA) last Wednesday at the Ma. Gochan Sports Complex in Brgy. Mambaling, this city.
Power forward Carl Jacaba tossed in 18 of his topscoring 23 points in the first period that helped Conor build an early 29-11 lead.
Motofix did not recover from Conor's deadly opening barrage.
Conor of coach Dodoy Cuarto battered the hapless Motofix at will on the way to blow up their lead to 30 points, 51-21, at the intermission. Their biggest lead though stood at 33 points, 74-41, going into the payoff period.
Van-van Las Piñas and Jay-P Salem joined in the scoring parade with a combined 35 points. Ben Gascon added 10 points for Conor.
Giovanni Abellar paced Motofix with 14 points. Dong Saavedra and Ludwig Abellar had 12 and 11 points, respectively, for the St. Bernard-sponsored Motofix.
