CEBU, Philippines - The Conor Express Freight Forwarders of team owners Olive Paraguas and Elmer Hamis came up with a 95-45 massacre of Sitio Larema to signal its serious title campaign in the Mambaling Basketball League (MBL) at the Ma. Gochan Sports Complex.
Inspired by the presence of Hamis, Conor Express waxed hot early to post a commanding 23-7 advantage after the first 10 minutes of play. They continued to pounce on their hapless foe to fan their lead to an imposing 25-point bulge at the intermission, 45-20.
Not contended, Conor Express of coach Dodoy Cuarto launched another wave of devastating attack to close the third period with a 32-point edge, 68-36. The rest, they say, is history.
Carl Jacaba and Van-van Las Piñas paced Conor Express with 23 and 21 points, respectively, while Ben Gascon added 14 points.
Dante Laurio had 19 points for Larema followed by Jay-P Taboada with a dozen markers.
