Conor Express, thus, joined its victim on top of the leaderboard with identical 6-2 win-loss records.
After a lukewarm start, Conor Express turned red-hot in the second quarter to grab the upperhand at halftime, 44-36, behind the one-two punch of pointguard Egang Tabalin and forward Junrey Ledesma.
Conor Express sustained its momentum after the short break to pad its lead to 11 points, 70-59, heading into the payoff period.
Offguard Rashid Hamis scored all his 10 points in the final quarter including two steals and five assists to further cement Conor’s road to victory.
Tabalin and Ledesma topped Conor with 21 and 18 points, respectively, while Dave Unabia added 13 markers.
Walas Vergara finished with a game-high 22 points for Colveta, while Tikboy Tradio and Lito Rentuma tossed in 25 points combined.
