CEBU – Nilo Barbalose beat fresher legs to rule the category B of the 7th Luzvimin-RECYCLE Race-Tour Ni Frank over the weekend at the treacherous Transcentral Highway.
Barbalose, who was allowed to race in class B from class A for several times now based on his age and level of competitiveness, showed he still has the winning moves by outsmarting Roger Obenieta for the top spot.
Elmer Navarro wound up third, while Bryan Lozano came out fourth followed by John Mier, one of the brightest prospects among the young riders.
RJ Balbuena placed sixth, while the seventh to 14th placers were Ronald Alcover, Fer Agapito, Jasper Navarra, Noy Jopson, Art Lambo, Rex Tan, Ome Rodriguez, and Miguel Flores.
Class C-1, on the other hand, saw Jonas Ponseca clinching the title. Lito Quebec and Romy Sanchez finished second and third.
Dadong Carcueba ruled class C-2, while Paul Paquit and Danny Simbajon occupied the second and third spots in the Frank Gatdula-spearheaded event. –Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
