CEBU - John-john Endrino sparkled with 30 points to power Team Minglanilla past the Mandaue Bomb Squad, 97-90, to win the championship of the Astoria, New York Invitational Summer Tournament at the Emcor Gym in New York, USA.
In an overseas call, Minglanilla coach Dodong Endrino said it was a closely-fought game all the way and was decided only by lucky breaks towards the end.
Mandaue, led by Drazen Ceniza with 15 points, heavily banked in on 6-foot-5 center Joel Capuno.
