CEBU - Teams A and B scored contrasting victories at the start of the TTH Basketball Club at the University of San Carlos-North Campus gym. In the opener, Team B got past Team D, 83-72, while Team A triumphed over Team C, 67-60.
Team B staged a fierce third quarter assault behind the tandem of Fritz Villamor and Jerlo Aguas to break away from a close first half battle.
Villamor and Aguas spearheaded Team B’s offense with 17 points each, while Aris Jayme added 15 points and Anton Colmenares 10.
Martin Grogard had pumped in 21 points for Team D. Mark Villagonzalo and Teyoy Lim connived for 25 points in a losing cause.
Team A, on the other hand, was led by Diodato Lunday with 16 points, while Christian Bacus paced Team C with 21 markers.
