‘Razy’ Razon sizzles in Seniors golf event

Hospicio ‘Razy’ Razon used to fly planes for a living, now he does not only enjoy playing golf, but wins many tournaments as well.

Razon of the Mactan Island Golf Club topped last week’s 2008 Mid-Year Senior Golfers Fellowship Tournament played at the Cebu Country Club by shooting a gross score of two-over-par 74 strokes on nines of 36 and 38.

He took the lowest gross plum.

The title for the Young Seniors category went to Cesar Salimbangon of MIGC with a net score of 63.  First runner-up was Felipe Cinco also of MIGC with 64 while Arthur Walker made it a sweep for their club in this category with his net 66 to take 2nd runner-up honors after edging Alta Vista’s Rolando Alberto in the countback.

Mactan’s Pete Cantillas gave their team another title as he topped the Mature Seniors class with a net score of 65 edging Ang Chiong of the host club in the countback.  Ang settled for the first runner-up honors while Ed Misa of Mercedes Plantation Golf and Country Club was second runner-up with his net 69 beating Jingjing Osmeña in the countback.

Tony Sikimhua of Alta Vista topped the super seniors class with a net score of 68 while Mactan’s Jolly Bollozos was second with 70 and 2nd runner-up was Fel Ventulan also of MIGC with a net score of 71.

Eddie Cimafranca of Cebu Country Club topped the guest division with a net score of 73 while Dr. Edwin Medalle was the runner-up with a net 74.
