This Friday, Albino Dee Gothong would have been 68 years old.
A mass will be held at 6 p.m. at the Cebu Grand Convention Center prior to the awards ceremony of the 1st Albino D. Gothong Memorial Golf Tournament, which has drawn several participants from the host Alta Vista Golf and Country Club and other clubs here and other parts of the country.
Gothong, who was fondly called Amo by his peers, is best remembered for the big tournaments that he organized.

There will however be flights that would tee off as early as 5:30 a.m.
At stake for a hole-in-one are two cars from Gateway Motors (Kia-Cebu), a Tucson SUV from Hyundai, a Yamaha motorcycle from Norkis Trading, and a Club Car golf cart.
Organizers said that there is still a possibility for last minute entries to be accepted. Entry fee is P3,000.
The tournament giveaways can be claimed at Alta Vista on the day that the player would tee off.
The diamond sponsor of the tournament is A. D. Gothong Manufacturing, makers of the popular Bambi Edible Oil.
