Division I topseed Class ‘88 whipped up a furious offensive storm in the final half to eliminate Security and Systems Monitoring Inc. ‘87, 59-52, while Class ‘92 stunned the twice-to-beat Young Builders ‘91, 55-49, to live and fight for another day.

Man mountain Ricky Yu paced Class ‘88 with 16 points, while Harry Villamor and Erwin Yu chipped in 12 markers apiece. Henrich Chua charted a season-high 31 points for Class ‘87 but his singular offensive outburst couldn’t make any difference.
In the other game, Mitchel Diputado fired 21 points and Richard Lanutan added 14 for Class ‘92, which used a devastating first-quarter attack, 23-8, to baffle Class ‘91 the rest of the way.
Class ‘91 outpointed Class ‘92 in the third period, 16-7, but that was its lone bright moment in the game. Chester Benedict Go led Class ‘91 with 15 points.
