The Don Bosco Greywolves opened their bid on a bright note following a comeback 75-66 win over the University of San Carlos South Grade at the start of the 1st Hapee-Online Challenge Cup at their own turf in Labangon, this city.
Game tomorrow
(CEC Gym)
5pm - CEC vs. CIE
A lay-up by Don Bosco’s Marion Bollozos gave his team its first taste of the lead 59-58 with barely four minutes left in the game. From there, Don Bosco seized the initiative to secure the victory.
USC controlled the game most of the way with Ronch Tehera and Arni Oliva at the forefront of the attack but the team ran out of gas in the last quarter with point guard John Lora unable to play because of cramps. Without point guard to direct play, USC’s offense sputtered during the fourth quarter blitz by Don Bosco.
The 1st Hapee-Online Challenge is a tournament especially for U-17 boys. In an exhibition game, UABC-Dew Foam defeated Batch ‘88.
