The Yaw-Yan ArDigma Martial Arts Federation, Inc. under the dynamic leadership of Master Benigno “Ekin” R. Caniga, Jr. is putting up the fourth sequel of its Ground & Pound series billed as “Shockwave” - a kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fights on December 8 at the Cebu Coliseum.
The action-packed event is a no-holds-barred tournament aimed at propagating and promoting all forms of martial arts. It is also part of Yaw-Yan’s determined drive against drugs and other vices.
Best fighters from Visayas and Mindanao will go up against each other in one solid night of kickboxing and MMA showdown featuring 80-plus rounds.
So far, a total of 14 clubs have already confirmed their entry in the slambang “Shockwave” show, which is sub-headed “Ultimate Submission Fighting-The Evolution of Combat.”
Aside from host Yaw-Yan ArDigma-Cebu City, also set for explosive action are Lapu-Lapu City’s Yaw-Yan Musang and Durex Dragon Kickboxing Club, Mandaue’s Soma Kickboxing Club, C-Mac Kick Boxing Club, C-mac Mix, and ATC Kickboxing Club, and Cebu City’s Calma Stable.
The out-of-town contenders are Muay-Thai Dumaguete, Bacolod’s Fight Club, Mindanao Top Team from Cagayan de Oro and Butuan, and CDO’s Muma Kickboxing Club and
FKR Philippines.
Tickets are priced at P50 for general admission, P100 for upper box, P150 for lower box, P300 for ringside, and P1,000 for sponsors.
