Tamiya bagged the marathon relay and competitive cheer dance titles to start its campaign in the 7th Annual Mactan Economic Zone (MEZ) II Sportsfest that opened in Lapu-Lapu City recently.
This year’s competition attracted 25 teams from the MEZ II area. Organizers hope that these participants will adhere to the theme: “One Effort, One Vision, One Skillful Execution Through Sports,” as they compete in basketball, chess, badminton, darts, table tennis, volleyball, and 9-ball billiards.
Other opening day winners were Atomed and SAWO Corporation who bagged the “Most Organized” and “Most Colorful Team” awards. Maria Christina May of Western Wats was crowned “Miss MEZ II Sportsfest 2007.”
The other participating teams are AboitizLand Inc., Cebu Mold Tech Inc., Cebu Toyo, Chase Dental, Draka Philippines, Hideka, Ins Micro Opto Corp., Koshin Philippines Corp., Lear PETC, Lexmark, Mactan Enerzone, Matluster Corp., Merasenko, Makoto Metal Tech Inc., Olympus, PaulYu, Phil Iino, Saturn International Design, Sofanou, T&H Furniture, Teradyne, Western Wats and Yamashin.
Globe Telecom and Innove Communications, Mactan Rock Industries Inc., 2Go, Union Bank of the Philippines, 7S, Body and Sole Spa and Massage, U-freight and Kanepackage Philippines are supporting the event.
