Defending champion Daisy Condensada ’90 posted back-to-back wins in the 12th Sacred Heart Alumni Basketball Association (SHABA) season at the Sacred Heart School-Jesuit gym.
Daisy Condensada ’90 opened its title retention bid with a 67-57 bashing of Gillamac/Sanyo ’97 in a rematch of last year’s finals.
A few days later, Daisy Condensada, behind the dynamic duo of last year’s MVP Dave Lim and Theogene Lim, made it two-in-a-row by grilling Kenya 2003, 57- 44.
In the other game, Eldie Cabahug nailed two free throws in the closing second to lift Worldwide Travels and Tours 2005 to a 54-53 cliffhanger over Transtek/Simply Penny, 54-53.
On the other hand, Home Option ’95 banked on the hot hands of Joel Co, Rhet Tomakin and James Edquila to pull off a 70-61 victory over PhilHeavy ’97, while Singha Beer ’95 rode on Jonjay Yu’s 25-point explosion to rip off Super Shuttle Ferry 2002, 56-51.
