President Assad tops 97 percent in Syria vote

The Salazar Colleges of Science and Institute of Technology (SCSIT) started its second round campaign with a 12-7 trouncing of Aldritz Liniment in the 2nd M.Lhuillier Kwarta Padala Softball Invitational Tournament at the Ouano ballfield in Brgy. Looc, Mandaue City.

SCSIT was able to adjust right away after tying the game at 5-all in the first inning.

The multi-titled Skyblazers did not allow Aldritz to score in the upper portion of the second inning while batting it out for seven runs to take a seven-point lead.

Aldritz scored two more runs in the next two innings and prevented SCSIT from going on a scoring spree

until the end of the seventh inning.

Even with all the efforts, Aldritz still ended up scratching their heads as they failed to stop SCSIT from winning. It was SCSIT's fourth win in five games.

In the other game, Carcar Royale also got a good signal in the second round of elimination after taking away a 10-8 victory against Pusok Selection.

The two protagonists were scoreless in the first two innings until Carcar outscored Pusok, 7-4, in the third canto.

At the end of the sixth inning, Carcar was only enjoying a hairline edge, 9-8 but got one more point in the last inning and then tightened its defense to clamp down the Pusok batters the rest of the way.

Carcar Royale now holds an even 2-2 win-loss record.

Pusok wanted to bounce back from its defest to Carcar but its game against the M. Lhuillier Sports Development Foundation (MLSDF) was suspended due to the heavy downpour. Before the stoppage, the MLSDF was leading by one point after the first inning.

In the lone juniors division match of the tournament organized by MLSDF executive director Eddie B. Ybañez in partnership with the Cebu Amateur Softball Association (CASA), the Angelic enjoyed a regulation win over the Pusok bantams after posting a 12-2 edge in the third inning.
