This will be the first full marathon in Cebu in 17 years.
In the last marathon, only 16 of the 45 entries survived.
As of yesterday, around 50 long distance runners have already enlisted, including First Cebu City ASEAN Fun Run champion Stella Mamac-Diaz of Davao City.
Runners below 18 years old are barred from joining the event based on the international rules.
The men's division champion will get P15,000 while the second and third placers get P10,000 and P5,000, respectively. The fourth placer pockets P3,000 and the fifth placer with P2,000.
The distaff side, on the other hand, will have P10,000 for the champion, P5,000 for the second placer,P3,000 for third, P2,500 for the fourth and P1,500 for fifth.
The sixth to 10th placers in both divisions will get P500 each.
The top three finishers will also receive a trophy.
All finishers who will arrive at the finishing line before the cut-off time get a medal and event t-shirt.
Aside from the full marathon, there will also be a 5-kilometer run.
Cash prizes and medals will also be given to the top performers of the 5K event.
Registration is on-going at the Cebu City Sports Center and at Casa Ilongga at Robinson's Place.
