Living Word extends win streak to four

The Living Word Christian Ministry (LWCM-ACES) of senior Pastor Mel Caparros handed the Sonship of Jesus Christ its first setback in four games, 87-79, in the Cebu Now Evangelizing Thru Sports Basketball League (CNetsBL) 2006 Christmas Conference at the IBC gym in Banawa.

The victory extended the winning streak of LWCM-ACES to four to take the solo lead even as Sonship dropped to 2-1 win-loss record.

Six ACES scored in double figures led by Caparros" son TJ, a former USJ-R Baby Jaguar, who finished with 14 points. Ross Ceniza, a Tribu Sugbu player, had 13 points along with Nestor Ty.

ACES is mentored by Arthro-Skygo coach Al Solis and assisted by Johnny Dieta.

Tribu Sugbu coaching staff Jed Cabellon and coach Solis had a combined 13 points with seven and six points, respectively.

Sonship of Jesus Christ had four of its players finishing in double figures.
