The Toyota-Iloilo Turbos will clash with the Iligan Archangels at 6 pm at the Lapu-Lapu City Gym, while the Talisay City Aquastars will take on the Lanao Royals at 8 pm at the Talisay City Sports Complex.
This marks for the first time in MVBA history that teams from Visayas and Mindanao divisions will be going up against each other in the elimination round.
At the end of the classification phase, the top two teams per division will enjoy twice-to-beat incentives over the lower ranked squads. The winners will then clash for the division title in a best-of-three affair.
The division champions will set up a best-of-five showdown for the MVBA Second Conference crown.
MVBA commissioners Boy Murillo and Willie Generalao said the team with the best record at the end of the elimination round will always enjoy homecourt advantage in the succeeding phase of the tournament.
