Suico stops Rodrigo in round 3

Promising Cebuano fighter Benedict Suico lived up to his billing as one of Cebu's top knockout punchers when he stopped Jojo Rodrigo in the third round in the main event of the other night's Circulan Multivitamins-RWS Promotions fight card at the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex.

Drawing extra strength and courage from his famous uncle, ex OPBF super featherweight champion Randy Suico who was watching at the sideline, the younger Suico sneaked in a solid left-right combination to the paunch that sent Rodrigo crashing to the canvass.

As Rodrigo wallowed in pain on the canvass, referee Tony Pesons stepped in and stopped the bout to prevent Rodrigo from further damage. The time was 21 seconds into the third round.

In the undercards of the "Discover and Development for Future Boxing Great" card backed up by Cebu boxing promoter Rex "Wakee: Salud, Bonbon Pumar scored a lopsided unanimous decision win over the veteran Rolando Toyogon.

Bogie Delada, on the other hand, stopped olly Mandahinog at 1:35 mark of the third round.

Ramil Caballes floored Tata Regatuna at 2:05 of the second round, while while Dexter Delada defeated the very game Jaime Acerda by unanimousn decision.

The other bouts saw Roel Laguna winning by TKO in the second round over Tata Ramuga, Gedion Amba scoring a first round TKO ove Bobong Valdez, and Jayson Oyao knocking the lights off Efren Temblor in the first round.
