In the other games, the MGR Planners scored a 65-62 upset over defending champion Pepsi Max while the USC Main Campus Faculty edged Marwil Cel, 59-55.
Providing the much needed support to Jayme were Tioy Lente who banged in 19 points and burly guard from Cebu Jaycees Jimbo Noel with 14 points.
Dandy de Guzman paced Pepsi Reg with 18 points.
James Lu was joined by ex-USC Warrior Lou Regidor in the scoring parade to upset the Paul Maninang-led Pepsi Max, the defending champion of the tournament.
Maninang, Mario Naron and Rolando Adarna are the Big Three in the Pepsi Max as far as scoring is concerned.
Lu scored 17 points and Regidor had 13 even as Maninang also finished with 17 points to lead Pepsi Max to tie with their tormentors at 1-1 win-loss record. The Main Campus Faculty now had a 2-1 win-loss card while Marwil Cel shop fell, 0-3.
