Boosted by the presence of its supportive mayor Maria Luisa Loot, Daanbantayan clobbered San Remegio in its opening match, 25-6, 25-14, and trounced Medellin, 25-17, 25-14.
Daanbantayan pocketed P20,000 for the feat while Sta. Fe received P10,000. Both will enter the cluster finals, which stakes a hefty P100,000.
Other cluster champions are Carcar, Minglanilla, Boljoon, Oslob, Toledo, Badian, Catmon and Sogod.
