Vidal, skipper of the Cebu-based Center of Gravity (COG), made three top outs to outsmart Manila's Jeff Capili.
Vidal's teammate and a first-timer, Jido Climaco, also showed a lot of promise, after ranking third in the elimination round with two top-outs.
Cagayan de Oro's Carlos Chiong and Iligan's Arjun Actub placed fourth and fifth going into the final battle.
Aside from Vidal and Climaco, three other Center of Gravity-supported neophyte climbers, gained entry to the next round.
Francis Cezar and Ritchie Asignar, according to Center of Gravity's owner Ian Sepulveda, entered into the final round with one top-out plus a bonus point.
The fifth COG team member who also survived the first day pressure is JR Asignar after topping out the wall.
In the distaff side, Christine Robles was the only female climber who was able to flash all three routes set up earlier.
Robles, however, is not enjoying a comfortable with Lissa Lesaca and Giselle Lopez closely following.
