CEBU, Philippines - Two days before the deadline, actress Ruffa Gutierrez visited the Commission on Elections-Cebu City North to transfer her voter registration to Cebu City.
Her mother, talent manager Annabelle Rama, who is running for Cebu City North congresswoman in 2013, confirmed that Ruffa has transferred her registration from Dasmariñas, Makati, to barangay Kamputhaw, Cebu City.
“Yes, transfer na si Ruffa sa Cebu City, sunod nila Eddie ug Elvis,” Annabelle confirmed in a phone interview, referring to her husband, actor Eddie Gutierrez and son Elvis, who earlier registered with the same Comelec office.
Annabelle also shared that today her other sons, actor Richard Gutierrez and Ritchie Paul will also go to Comelec-Cebu City tomorrow to register. She said only Raymond, Richard’s twin brother, cannot follow the rest of the family as he was in the United States.
Annabelle of Team Rama, will be running against veteran lawmaker Raul del Mar who is next year’s Bando Osmeña Pundo Kauswagan congressional candidate in the north district.
Despite Del Mar’s experience and more than 20 years in politics, Annabelle, who is running for public office for the first time, said she is confident she will win the post, judging from the positive feedback she gets whenever she visits the barangay residents. –(FREEMAN)
