2 "drug pushers" fall; 2 shoplifters arrested

CEBU, Philippines - Two suspected drug pushers were arrested in Danao City during separate buy-bust operations conducted by the Provincial Intelligence Branch.

 Bryll Morillo, 22, of Highway Looc and Raymond Bongo of Barangay Maslog were arrested last Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.

 Morillo was arrested by the team of SPO1 Alen Villamor at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday for selling a pack of shabu worth P500 to an undercover policeman.

Following his arrest, another pack of shabu worth P1,000 and drug paraphernalia were recovered from him.

Another PIB team led by PO3 Reynaldo Solante also arrested Bongo shortly before midnight yesterday in his residence in Maslog. The police seized four packs of shabu worth P3,000 and a caliber .45 pistol from the suspect.

Solante said they have conducted one week surveillance operation against Bongo after receiving information about his illegal activities.

After having confirmed the illegal activities of the suspect, the buy-bust operation was hatched resulted in his arrest.

Morillo and Bongo are now detained at the Danao City Police Station while criminal complaints for violation of Section 5 and 11 of the Dangerous Drugs Act are being prepared for filing.

Bongo will also face a separate complaint for illegal possession of firearm.

Meanwhile, two suspected shoplifters were arrested in Barangay Poblacion, Consolacion Wednesday afternoon.

Judith Imperial Mondigo alias Judith Senining Imperial, 48, a native of San Remigio town and Jessie Espada Pabuaya, 47, a native of Negros Occidental were arrested by the security guard of Fooda Hypermart.

They were caught stealing assorted children’s wear worth P5,853. One of the suspects pretended to be a customer while the other served as lookout.

The suspects were turned over by the guard to Consolacion Police Station where Pabuaya was also caught in possession of two packs of shabu.  (FREEMAN)
