CPPO commends Balamban police

CEBU, Philippines - Senior Superintendent Patrocinio Comendador will be giving a commendation to the Balamban police for arresting two of the three robbers responsible of some robberies in Balamban, Cebu.

Comendador will personally go to Balamban Police Station this Tuesday and give the commendation to Superintendent Anthony Bagarinao, chief of the Balamban police and to the team that conducted the operation.

“Instead sila ang muari sa headquarters, ako mismo maoy muadto ngadto apil na ang pagbisita sa ubang police stations,” the provincial director said.

Last Thursday, the police recovered a caliber .45 pistol loaded with six bullets from Ronnie Dumdum, 33, and another caliber .45 pistol, four magazines, and fourteen bullets from Pablito Napoles, 32. Both are from barangay Cantu-ob, Balamban.

They were positively identified by the witnesses who robbed an agent of a beer company.

However, Romel Piloto, of barangay Biasong, remains at large. He allegedly sustained a gunshot wound after he was hit by Bagarinao during a shootout.

Laurence Lauron, 29, of Mambaling, Cebu City and agent of the Asia Brewery lost his P28,000 proceeds after the suspects, on board a black motorcycle and wearing helmets, robbed him on Wednesday in barangay Gaas.

The police who conducted a follow-up operation arrested the two suspects who were acting suspiciously in barangay Arpili. Piloto was able to elude arrest on board a motorcycle in a separate police operation.

Comendador said they are now tracing the involvement of the two with four others who were previously arrested in Naga.

“Kung dunay madakpan mo-lie low ra ba dayon ni sila unya mobalik ra pud,” he said.

He added that towns of Balamban down to the cities of Toledo and Naga are vulnerable to robberies and all the PNP can do is to conduct intensive checkpoints and warn residents and businessmen. (FREEMAN)
