CEBU, Philippines - A 24-year-old man was found dead hanging in his rented room in Barangay Lahug shortly before midnight of Wednesday.
Vincent Plantar of Barangay Tamboan, Carmen is believed to have committed suicide because of love problem. Ricardo Caballes, 41, Plantar’s roommate said that the latter had a quarrel with his girlfriend, who works abroad, over the internet the night before he was found dead. It was not however known whether his girlfriend broke up with him.
Caballes discovered Plantar hanging in their rented room Wednesday night. A blue nylon cord was used to tie Plantar’s neck with the other end tied on a pipe.
Police investigators found no signs of possible foul play suggesting that Plantar committed suicide. The police said that they found no external injury on the body except for a ligature mark on the neck.
His things inside the room remain in proper arrangement suggesting that no other person has entered the room. A pink wallet containing identification cards and pictures and a cellular phone were found in the room. (FREEMAN)
