4 robbers fall in Minglanilla

CEBU, Philippines - Four suspected robbers including a minor were arrested during a hot pursuit operation in Minglanilla after pulling off a robbery of a passenger multicab yesterday dawn.

Mark Francis Quijano, 20, Arnel Sari, 24, Argie Dejos, 18, and a 17-year-old companion were arrested by the operatives of Minglanilla police in Belmont Village Barangay Pakigne at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday.

They were positively identified by the four passengers of a yellow multicab whom they have robbed of their valuables earlier.

 Desiree Tulda, 25, of Deca Homes in Tunghaan Minglanilla together with Chamesis Tulda, 19; Pal Saldaña, 21, of Inayagan Naga and Fredeson Lopez, 31, of Tungkop Minglanilla reported to the police station that they were robbed by the suspects on board a multicab from Cebu City.

The victims said one of the suspects pulled out a Caliber .38 revolver and declared a hold-up. After getting all their valuables the suspects disembarked in front of Velpal Subdivision in Barangay Pakigne.

A hot pursuit operation was conducted by the police led by SPO1 Reynato Magsangkay together with the victims. The suspects were spotted inside Belmont Village which led to their eventual arrest.

The victims were able to recover their valuables from the suspects. — (FREEMAN)
