CEBU, Philippines - The opposition in Lapu-Lapu City will continue its role as watchdog in the city and monitor the implementation of programs under the administration of Mayor Paz Radaza.
Former barangay Canjulao captain Rufo Bering told The FREEMAN that there is a need for them to continue its role in looking into the affairs at city hall and in the implementation of projects funded by the city government.
Bering supported the mayoralty bid of former Lapu-Lapu City councilor Junard "Ahong" Chan.
Chan lost to Mayor Paz Radaza in the last election.
Bering said the opposition in Lapu-Lapu City should unite now and have one voice.
"Dili man sad tingali maayo nga wala nalang magbantay sa mga binuhatan sa atong mga opisyal diha sa city hall," said Bering.
He also urged residents to join them and be part of their campaign for good government. (THE FREEMAN)
