CEBU, Philippines – Mandaue City will once again present "Horror Booth sa Mandaue" from October 29 to November 2.
The "Horror Booth," which is on its fourth year, will be participated by a cast of 42 members of the Mandaue's Pride (MANPRIDE) an organization of the third sex in the city.
"Horror" director Jody Flores said this year the props and sound effects would be much better than the past years.
Mayor Jonas Cortes' wife Sarah, who is the chairperson of the MCCPC, yesterday said proceeds to be made from the booths will be used to finance the Christmas party of indigent children in the city.
Indigent children will be brought to the Mandaue City Sports Complex and Cultural Center where the Christmas party will be held.
The children will be treated to a free lunch and will be given gift packs they can share with their families.
This year, the number of children has been reduced to a manageable size of 650 from 1,000 last year.
Cortes said tickets to the booths are still at P20 each. Organizers hope to sell all the 25,000 tickets that have been printed for this year's affair.
The Horror booth sa Mandaue started in 2007 during the first term of office of Mayor Jonas Cortes, initiated by the mayor's wife herself. (FREEMAN)
