CEBU, Philippines – The 701st Regional Community Defense Center of the Army Reserve Command based in Camp Lapu-Lapu will hold a fellowship meeting for its new commander, Col. Raymundo Bañares.
The fellowship meeting will be held at the reservist center of the RCDC at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
The meeting will be spearheaded by Bañares himself and other officials of the Ready Reserve Battalion.
Bañares, after leading the 78th Infantry Battalion for over three years, the longest so far among the battalion commanders, was reassigned to the 701st RCDC since last August 1.
He will soon take over of the command and eventually replace Col. Norman Gomez.
Technical Sergeant Noel Barraca said they have actually held the first fellowship meeting last September 4 at the headquarters.
But this time, a lot of the personnel are expected to come as the new commander wants to get acquainted with them.
